Cookie policy
Which cookies we use, and how to choose
This site uses statistical measurement cookies only, and only if you allow us to. No advertising cookies, no profiling, nothing shared with advertisers.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on a visitor's device to remember information from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next. Some are essential for a site to work; others are used to measure traffic or build advertising profiles.
Italian law (Article 122 of the Privacy Code and the Data Protection Authority's guidelines of 10 June 2021) distinguishes between technical cookies, which require no consent, and all others, which may only be set after a free and informed choice on your part.
Technical cookies
The site sets no technical cookies of its own. To remember your choice about measurement cookies we store a single value in the browser's local storage (localStorage):
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
moss_consenso_cookie |
localStorage (first party) | Remembering whether you accepted or refused measurement cookies, so you are not asked on every visit | Until you manually clear your browser data |
This value stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or to third parties, and exists as a direct result of your own choice: that is why it requires no consent.
Statistical measurement cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Ltd., to know how many people visit the site, where they come from and what they read. We need it to understand whether the page works, not to recognise individuals.
These cookies are not set until you press "Accept". Until then, the Google script is not even downloaded by your browser: this is real prior blocking, not a statement of intent. If you choose "Refuse", no cookie is created and your visit is not counted.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Telling visitors apart by assigning a random identifier | 2 years | |
_ga_<ID> | Keeping the state of the browsing session | 2 years |
We have configured Analytics with IP address anonymisation and with Google's Consent Mode set to denied as its starting state. We have not enabled advertising features, Google Ads signals, remarketing or data sharing for advertising purposes.
Making or changing your choice
On your first visit a banner appears with two equally prominent buttons, Refuse and Accept. Neither option is preselected, and simply continuing to browse does not count as consent.
You can change your mind at any time by clicking Cookie preferences, which appears in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, any Analytics cookies already present are removed.
Alternatively you can install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which works across every site you visit.
Other external resources
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. This sets no cookies, but it does involve a request to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and the technical connection details needed to deliver the font file. There are no embedded videos, maps, social buttons, chat widgets or other third-party components.
Server logs
The hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser used), necessary for the operation and security of the service. These are not cookies and are not used to profile visitors. Further details in the Privacy Policy.
